About Indian Airlines
To render efficient, adequate, safe and economical air services Indian airlines initiated its operation on August 1, 1953 following the enactment of Air Corporations Act 1953. It is fully owned enterprise of the Govt. of India. Today, Indian Airlines, together with its fully owned subsidiary Alliance Air, has a fleet of 70 aircrafts. Indian Airlines flights are supported by a strong fleet of aircrafts with which it flies to 58 domestic and 18 international destinations. Since its very inception Indian Airlines has been setting standards for civil aviation. With many first in its credit, Indian Airlines has been feeding both the lavish and economical requirements of all the passengers across the globe without exception. Over the years, Indian Airline has turned out to be the other name of service, reliability and efficiency.
Indian Airlines' network covers Singapore in the East and Kuwait in the west. It's international network spans Oman, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain in West Asia; Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Mayanmar in South East Asia and Afghanistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Maldives in the South Asia sub-continent.
With a staff of over 19,000, Indian Airlines offers services which are simply outstanding and quite unmatched.
