British Airways Overview
British Airways is the largest international airline of United Kingdom(UK).With its large fleet, extensive international network and connectivity that spans almost the entire globe, British Airways remains amongst the most popular international airline. History
Formed with the mergence of many small air companies, British Airways completed 90 years of existence on 25 August, 2009. After First World War in 1919, British Air along with AT & T (Aircraft Transport and Travel) started the first service of scheduled flights. Since then, the airways has come a long way and was finally given the name British Airways in 1974. The airline has launched the British Airways Heritage website to mark the special occasion of completing 90 long years. One can see the records and artifacts of British Airways predecessor companies BOAC, BEA, BSAA and the pre-war Imperial Airways and British Airways Ltd along with an extensive document archive that records the formation, development and operations of the above companies and British Airways. The site also displays over 130 uniforms from the 1930s to the present day as well as a large collection of aircraft models and pictures.

Loyalty Program

The frequent flier program of British Airways is the Executive Club. Flying with British Airways can earn the flyer redeemable BA Miles and the loyalty Tier Points that provide benefits such as access to airport lounges and dedicated reservation lines. Extra BA Miles and Tier Points can be earned by flying in higher classes of service whereas Tier Points can be earned on any flight, including discounted economy fares. The club has a three tier membership namely Blue, Silver and Gold. BA also operates a Premier program, which is an invitation-only club.
