GoAir is one the popular airlines of India that came into operations in year 2005. The airline was founded in this year by Jehangir Wadia. The airline solely owned by Wadia group and Jehangir Wadia is its managing director. GoAir started its operations in November 2005 with Airbus A320 aircraft. In January 2014, GoAir was declared as the 5th largest airline of India by market share. Operating with a fleet of 19 aircrafts, the airline serves 21 destinations in India, with more than 100 flights daily.

The airline is based in Mumbai and its main hub is at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai. The secondary hub of this airline is Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi. Due its small fleet size, GoAir is not allowed to run its international flights.

As per the baggage allowance rules of the GoAir, passengers are allowed to carry one cabin baggage having total linear dimension of 115 cm (55cm+35cm+25cm). For passengers taking their flights from Jammu and Srinagar Airport, cabin/hand baggage is not allowed for them except laptops and digital cameras. The passengers of GoFlexi and GoSmart can carry check-in baggage of 20kgs and in GoBusiness, check-in baggage of 35kgs is allowed.
