Headquartered in Kabul, Afghanistan, Kam Air Afghanistan is a privately owned airline that has no connections with Kam Air services Sudan. Established on 31st August 2003 by Zamari Kamgar, the airline is the first privately owned airline of Afghanistan. The first flight of the airline took off on 8th November, 2003 using a Boeing 727 from Kabul to Herat and Mazari Sharif.

All passengers traveling with Kam Air can check their complementary baggage allowance mentioned on their tickets. Passengers traveling from/to US/Canada can carry two pieces of bags weighing 23 kg each. For other international flights, checked baggage allowance is 1 piece luggage of up to 30 kg. For domestic flights, the checked baggage weight should be maximum 20kg. All passengers are also allowed to carry 1 cabin baggage of maximum weight 10 kg and maximum size (23 cm x 40 cm x 55) cm.
