About Agatti Aerodrome : Spread over an area of 18.56 hectares, Agatti Aerodrome is situated on the southern edge of Agatti Island in the union territory of Lakshadweep. It is the only airfield in the archipelago, which lies off the west coast of India. The airfield was constructed during 1987−88 and it was inaugurated on 16th April 1988. Earlier, it was in a small temporary structure but the resurfacing of its runway was completed in November 2010.
Agatti Aerodrome is the only airport of the Union Territory of Lakshadweep, yet it is only served by one national airline that is Air India Regional. The airline flies to Kochi, Bangalore and Chennai from Agatti Aerodrome
Agatti Aerodrome offers all the facilities to its guests to ensure them a convenient journey. Guests are offered with luggage trolleys and they can carry baggage without any difficulty.
