About Lucknow Airport: Serving to the capital city of Uttar Pradesh – Lucknow, Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport is a major airport of the state. The airport is also called as Amausi Airport due to being located in Amausi – a suburb of Lucknow. The airport was officially renamed as Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport on 3rd October 2013 on the name of a former prime minister of India – Chaudhary Charan Singh. The airport has two terminals. Terminal 1 is used for international flights and terminal 2 is used for domestic flights. AAI is planning to expand terminal 1 of this airport.
