About Imphal Airport: Situated 8 km south of Imphal, Imphal International Airport is an international airport serving the capital city of Manipur. The airport is spread over an area of 1275 acres and is the third busiest airport in the northeast of India. It is also the second largest international airport in the region followed by Guwahati. The airport is having only one terminal and it is the base for Manipuri Tourism Department. The airport is controlled by Airport Authority of India.
