About Surat Airport: Located 11 km south-west of Surat in the Indian state of Gujarat, Surat Airport is a domestic airport in Magdala area of the city. The airfield is spread over an area of 312 hectares and caters to scheduled airline services and private aircrafts. It is also home to a Flying training school. The airport is built by the State Government of Gujarat and is being operated by Airport Authority of India. The new terminal of the airport can handle 240 passengers every hour and there is plan to expand the airport seeing the passenger traffic.
By serving a popular city of Gujarat, Surat Airport is connected with rest of India through various airlines. Presently, two airline brands are operating from Surat Airport, including Air India Regional and SpiceJet.
