Bellary Fort:
Situated on top of Ballari Gudda, Bellary Fort is built around the hill. The fort was constructed by Hande Hanumappa Nayaka, during the Vijayanagara times. Later, in the year 1769, Hyder Ali took possession of the fort from the Hande Nayaka family and renovated as well as modified it with the help of a French engineer. The fort is divided into the Upper Fort and the Lower Fort.
