This lake is a reservoir located in the hills, 15 KM to the north of Shillong in the state
of Meghalaya, India. This lake was created by damming the Umiam River in the early

then take the NH to Nongpoh.
The nearest railway station to Ri-Bhoi is Guwahati railway station (only 50 KM away).
