Get Ready as the Famous Madame Tussauds is Coming to Delhi
Madame Tussauds, the world famous wax museum will be opening a venture in New Delhi as a part of the India-U.K Year of Culture celebrations in 2017.
Merlin Entertainments, who is a leading visitor attraction operator has announced about their launch recently. Its Chief New Openings Officer, said “We are delighted to be announcing that our 22nd Madame Tussauds attraction will be opening in Delhi. Ever since we introduced Amitabh Bachchan as the first Bollywood figure in Madame Tussauds London in 2000, we have seen how Madame Tussauds appeals to the Indian consumer. .having a permanent attraction in the heart of the country’s capital made perfect sense for the evolution of the Madame Tussauds story”.
The number of the visitors in the museum will be limited to 500 people at a time. Though the entry fees still have to finalize but it is very much confirmed that visitors will be able to stand, touch and pose with their favourite celebrities.
Each Wax statue in the museum will be made in London only and then brought to India. There shall be a local team of make-up artists and costume designers, to make sure there happens no tear.
During its announcement ceremony held in Delhi, Madame Tussauds unveiled a figure of Amitabh Bachchan dressed in a blue bandh gala and black trousers, along with statues of famous pop star Lady Gaga and Marie Tussaud.
This branch of the museum will be twenty third International branch in the World and ninth in Asia.
